[rss-ping] Is this list still alive?

I was looking for a non-centralized mechanism for websites to "push" 
information to all interested parties holding Jabber clients.

 From the specs it seems that RSSping could be at the core of this. But 
I think a minimal authentication will be needed to avoid DOS attacks or 
false information from spreading.

Do you plan to add authentication to the spec anytime soon?
